DIRECTIONS TO GODALIMNG CHESS CLUB-BROADWATER PARK COMMUNITY CENTRE
From the A31 (Hogs Back)
Turn off at the B3000, sign posted Godalming. Follow the road leftwards towards Godalming.
Follow B3000 through Puttenham and along Puttenham Heath Road.
At next roundabout go right, this takes you over the A3. Soon afterwards you come to another roundabout, turn left here. You are still on the B3000.
Godalming is well sign posted from here, as is Guildford Crematorium, which we are near.
At the next roundabout turn right. You are now in Compton.
Carry on along this road; eventually you will pass Furze Lane on your right. Soon after this there is a slight incline as the road goes over a railway line.
After this take the first right (Summers Road). This is quite a sharp turning, which looms up suddenly but if you miss it, you will come to Guildford Crematorium on your right, followed by a roundabout. Double back round the roundabout and the turning into Summers Road is first on your left after the Crematorium.
When you get to Summers Road follow the directions below.
From A3100 (Guildford)
If coming via Guildford follow the A3100 towards Godalming up the Portsmouth Road.
Continue along this road, past the College of Law and past the signs for Mount Browne (Surrey Police HQ).
Go straight on at the next three roundabouts, then past a petrol station on the left.
At the next roundabout turn right, Guildford Crematorium is immediately to your left. Take the next left into Summers Road and then follow the directions below.
Summers Road (Directions from both A31 and A3100
Once in Summers Road, follow the road past Broadwater School on the left. We are the next main turning on the left after this. The new Broadwater Leisure Centre is on the same site as the Community Centre and is clearly visible from the road, Just before the Leisure Centre turn left into the site.
After passing the Leisure Centre continue ahead taking the right hand fork which drops down into a car park. Follow the road as it veers slightly left through the car park and up a slight incline, at the top go straight across and follow the road ahead around to the left. There is a band hut on your right. The club plays in the Community Centre on the left. There is a large car park outside.
